During three-dimensional imaging or long-term live cell imaging with confocal microscopes, sample drift and thermal effects can cause focal drift, which requires real-time dynamic compensation. Voice coil motors have fast response speeds, high positioning accuracy (reaching sub-micron or even nanometer levels), no mechanical friction, and smooth travel, making them ideal actuators for driving objectives or precision stages for focusing.

In rapid scanning imaging technologies, it is necessary to perform fast scanning in the Z-axis direction while acquiring single-frame X-Y images, allowing the system to complete its tasks smoothly.
